This brochure was funded by the Olive Pink Botanic Garden, the Australian Plant Society Alice Springs and the Alice Springs Field Naturalists Club.This companion guide to Central Australian Flora – Trees, Large Shrubs, Grasses and Sedges introduces many native plant species occuring in central Australia. It is obviously impossible to include all the flora you will encounter in this area. Where features in a particular genus are similar, we have only included one or two species. We anticipate that the keen observer will research further among the books and websites available to accurately identify what they find.
